Players need to do whats best for THEM fukk the teams.
Its the players job to show up and play. As long as he does that as is a good team mate then his obligations are met.
I agree but he signed a contract to be there, and no one forced him to extend. He is requesting a trade with a season and a half remaining on his contract, a week before the trade deadline. Why shouldn't he be required to fulfill his contract?
Unless it's a hostile work enviornment, it's his job to get some W's and show up consistently. He's consistently hurt, has never won 50 games, and only has 5 playoff wins in his career.
I just feel that a max player should bare some responsibility for improving his team. This culture of "trade me to a winner" instead of building a winner seems weak.
He's Kevin Love in Minnestoa until proven otherwise. Great individual player, amazing stats, but has lead his teams to poor / mediocre records.
I am all for people doing what's best for them personally, but I appreciate the Dame Lillard approach more than this one. If he won in NO he would be a legend there. If Carmelo stayed in Denver we would be looking at his legacy a lot different.
If he goes to LA who's to say he doesnt have the same results as Dwight Howard teaming up with Kobe?
AD has not proven to be as impactful as Dwight was in Orlando up until this point.
