why does he act like NO did something bad to him or treated him badly all these years
Because they did. Wasted his time and health.
For one, they followed the fruitless tanking strategy that does nothing but develop a losing culture.
Secondly, they never surrounded him with any other talent until last season with Boogie, Rondo, and Mirotic. And they decided to get rid of all them despite him asking specifically to keep Demarcus (stabbed him in the back).
Finally, Tom Benson owns the Saints and the Pelicans, he doesn't give a fukk about the Pelicans. NOLA's medical staff aint shyt. And AD is constantly getting hurt... put two and two together.
I mean this article is from 2016 and is pretty prophetic of what would happen in the following years.
The Pelicans medical staff deserves close scrutiny
"The situation could set up a potential "death spiral" scenario that occurs when a medical team simply cannot keep up with the demands of the injured athletes. FanDuel injury analyst Will Carroll
explained in a column for Bleacher Report that "There [are] only so many hours in the day, and
at a certain point, the rehabilitation and maintenance programs [overtake] the preventative programs, leading to an increase in injury rate." As a result,
multiple substantial injuries require extensive attention and ultimately divert focus away from the daily maintenance of healthy players."
Chris Paul got the fukk out of there too. At some point you gotta stop asking "why are the players doing so-and-so" and start taking a closer look at the organization to realize that they're some deeply rooted structural issues in that franchise.
