You're wrong tho. Microagressions are rooted in racism and normalizing them is dangerous behavior. They should not be dismissed.
Mandy wouldn't have done some dumbshyt Iike that to a white woman with bed head in the same way white people dont call white men with baggy clothing thugs.
That's how we got to this point where flippant comments like that are brushed off because it's "not serious".
Like i said I'm not defending her joke. I just think we all deep inside make jokes like that about each other. I don't think that's 100% indicative of being a racist. Just being real.
When me and my friends, hang with our white friends, we have an inside joke that after "about 11pm, one of these crackers gon pull some coke out." We ain't tripping cause they white tho. shyt is just one of those funny things that separates us culturally. Coke ain't normal (to use) where We from. That's weird to my culture and my upbringing.
All blonde white women look exactly the same to me. Me and my nikkas would be in the airport and laugh at how many white chicks we could point out that look exactly the same. Imagine if I was famous and put that on Snap or IG. I would be racist. "Discriminating based off of hair." or some dumb shyt. But I'm not tripping off anyone's color. I got friends from everywhere that I truly value/love. I'm sure they got jokes on black people privately too.
I just think life is more complex than what's in a SNAP, and when we judge things in a vacuum the truth gets lost.
IM NOT DEFENDING MANDY. I don't know her, but this ain't enough for me to say "oh that fukking bytch racist."
But she's on my watch list, based off her feeling comfortable enough to just put it out there.
Or on the other hand she coulda been like, "we're all the same, I'm just making a joke" and not really seen the racial implications. With this social media era. You can't really tell. So I'm not gon condemn shorty so quick. It's not right.
Cause caught in the right moment, any of us could be painted any way.
