"In Brazil, the date rape drug GBH is also known by the name 'Goodnight Cinderella' as it renders victims unconscious and vulnerable to attacks.
The party drug which can cause blackouts, inability to move limbs, vomiting and drowsiness has been reportedly used by perpetrators of sexual assaults and robberies.
Slipping the drug, which can sometimes be mixed with other substances, into a victim's drink leaves them unable to react and often completely unable to remember a crime taking place.
Tourists in Brazil shared horror stories online, warning that they had been distracted by strangers in the street before being spiked with the drug, which can be fatal in high doses.
The US Embassy has also warned tourists to be alert after widespread reports of sedative drugs being used to rob and attack unknowing victims of crime in Brazil.
He will serve 25 years and three months in prison."
This is why these dudes are dying. These bird brained women are drugging dudes and have no concept of dosing.

…that’s the tourist industry. They build those places so tourists, families, etc can have a safe place to stay when traveling. THAT is an actual industry that employs men AND women throughout a nation. They’ve had amazing resorts that are meant for the Uber rich/wealthy for centuries that WE will never even see. The resorts you speak of were already there or were built because of demand.

Imagine comparing the tourist industry to finding destitute, attractive young women in the hoods of developing nations and paying them $10-$60 for sex :mjlol::skip:
giving-you-money-fabolous.gif
:patrice: That's cheaper than paying for a dinner...

Shrug. Whatever helps you sleep at night

I could use the same logic and say passport brehs didn’t legalize proposition, passport brehs didn’t inflate the dollar or depress the peso :manny:

But again…yall are conditioned to let women dictate to you.
What are you talking about? What in the fukk are you even talking about in the bolded text? In the article you posted, YOU posted, they lay out a lot of issues that are on the side of the city and not the tourists. Like housing:

Letting landlords change units into short term rentals, which they are trying to address:

Barcelona City Council has a controversial plan to try to address mass tourism and tackle the housing shortage at the same time.

It is banning all short-term holiday rentals by 2028 by not renewing any of the 10,000 tourist licences granted to landlords when they expire that year.

It is a measure the council believes will be the equivalent of building 10,000 new homes.

"We have a housing crisis," Deputy Mayor Jordi Valls told the ABC.

"The apartments have two uses — one is tourists and the other is for the citizens — we want to push the owners of these apartments [by saying], 'This is your asset, you can take profitability of this asset because it is your asset, but focus on the residential.'

"We have to keep a good balance between tourism and apartments for the people of Barcelona."

Marian Muro, the director-general of Apartur, which is a lobby group for apartment owners, said owners were fighting the council's short-term holiday apartment ban in the courts..

"It is not my obligation to assist people who do not have housing, it is an obligation of the [government] administration," Ms Muro said.

"Private property is a fundamental right of people, and if you have an apartment or a property … you can allocate its use to whatever you like, as long as it is legal."

Or transportation:

Residents living near Antoni Gaudí's famous Park Güell lobbied their council for their bus route to be taken off major online maps because they were fed up with having to squeeze on with tourists.

The park is Barcelona's second-most-popular attraction after the Sagrada Família Basilica. It attracts about 4 million visitors a year.

The ABC travelled on the bus with locals up to Park Güell, who said they were relieved to reclaim their route.

"Before the bus was removed from [smartphone] maps, there were many tourists because we're in a very touristy area and it was very difficult for the people who live here to get on and off the bus," resident Andrés Pulito, 18, said.

"Now that it's gone, it is much easier for us to enter with our shopping carts and to be able to get to our homes."

Instead of doing a bunch of weird shyt to get paying customers to not get on your buses, why could the city not run more buses to deal with the increase of riders?

Dont blame tourists because they show how fragile and not resilient the city's institutions and general tourism infrastructure is.

JOHTO REGION
Taking two strange women back to ur hotel in a country where u don’t speak the language is crazy
Funny enough the upper class educated women there likely speak some English but those women would basically treat them like the women here and not want them since they don't need their money.

Nikka TOURISTS are normal ppl traveling to other lands to explore, not purposely traveling to pay some poor teens-20 somethings $30 for sex. Sex tourism is not the same as families spending thousands on accommodations, meals, souvenirs, tour guides, etc. TF are you talking about?

I see I gotta hold your hand. I will post the 3rd link on this. Feel free to read any day now.

Actually nvm I’ll spoon feed you:

Cons of tourism

  • tourism creates new jobs but these jobs are often low-paid jobs and seasonal
  • tourism increases crime in a region: bars, strip clubs, robbery etc.
  • tourism in popular places increases housing prices and decreases social coherence
  • a constant flow of foreign visitors can undermine the beauty and uniqueness of a tourist destination; tourism causes environmental damage
  • most of the tourism industry in developing countries is owned by foreign companies
Tourism PERIOD causes harm, not just sex tourism.

And please, PLEASE do not try the ‘wtf are you talking about’ card. I work in international aide and development. This is my wheelhouse. I have coworkers who’ve written dissertations and spoken on this exact topic to hundreds and thousands.
