Still too bad they kept on burying my broski Zack Ryder. Dude was over as ****, his channel was cool and he had that "special something". Only thing was that he didn't get pushed by the WWE, he pushed himself (even made fun of it during his video's, climbing a fence and explaining he's trying to get "over"). What does he get? A "dark match" in long island (not even on the live raw but on superstars), a US title shot and gets involved in the worst feud in ages with Cena, Kane and Eve.

WWE sucks for dropping the ball on him, yet giving the jiz, snoreton and shameus main event spots.

Let's be 100% real, if one of WWE's favorite golden boys got the reaction Ryder got in SS two years ago by themselves, WWE would have pushed them to the moon.

Instead he's punished for it.

I'd be pretty pissed bout it too.

This is all true, but let's be serious about the guy- his ceiling was "over midcarder" and he really wasn't that good to begin with. And we all know how WWE is with things that they didn't create (see Invasion, The).

He had to know how the higher-ups were going to handle this. Had to. He couldn't be that naive. And then, after they destroyed his push and heat for getting over on his own, he continued to complain, further burying himself in their eyes.

It's not legitimate in any way (WWE needs as many over guys as they can get, especially on the face side of things), but that's just how things tend to go in WWE, for better or worse. No surprises here.

That's why I laugh when people talk that dumb shyt about fans won't accept new faces to the scene. His getting over process was organic and that "We want Ryder"/pop was loud as fukk at SS and that was typically harsh ass NY marking for dude. Even if he was only to be a mid carder which woulda been fine there was something to be done with his momentum besides repeated sonnings going on almost 2 years now.

What could Ryder have done any differently given his position in the company at the time? He was only there because of his external (internet) grind.

Given that he isn't, wasn't and is never gonna be 1/10th of DB in the ring, what more could he have done to further that push? I'm not a fan of dude but his hustle was nice and should have gotten him much further (I.e. better booked) than being the catalyst for the #TSCfukkery era. The only thing he really did wrong was get a fan following that didn't start when he walked thru the curtain.
