Dave realized a few things about that R. Kelly skit long after the fact, and why it (like many things from Chappelle’s Show) were flat out irresponsible on his part. And he touched on some of it with Oprah’s butter biscuit eating ass on her show.

First he knew people were not laughing with him at a certain point during the Chappelle show run but by then he’d already turned himself, Rick James (and damn near Prince and R. Kelly) into caricatures. The joke often got lost in people’s thirst for the buffoon and not the punchline.

Second, eventually people like Dream would feel like they could use him when it was finally time to “cancel” R. Kelly even tho she could’ve tried to pull this shyt 20 years ago and didn’t.

Third, as Dave is seeing it in present day, people are in their fukking feelings over damn jokes and now he’s had to double down on saying “fukk it” and standing behind his material instead of rolling with then movement flavor of the month.

Last night writer and director Dream Hampton claimed that Nas used ghostwriters for his untitled 2008 album, commonly known as the ****** LP. Asked why Jay-Z hasn't made an album as provocative as Nas' ninth disc, Hampton claimed that Nas solicited help from Jay Electronica and Stic.man of Dead Prez for that album's songs:

Jay Electronica has denied that he ghostwrote lyrics for Nas. He wrote on Twitter:

Stic.man of Dead Prez, also named as a Nas ghostwriter, addressed the rumors in a post to his Facebook page, saying he and Nas were collaborators:
