There are a ton of comments already on the Yahoo! post. The usual 'get over it' 'blacks are too sensitive' comments seem to be the response. There were also quite a few 'I'm black and this doesn't bother me' posts. That brings to me ask to ask this question: Is this offensive to you? Not a big deal? Why or why not? :lupe:

I'm offended by white america's sheer stupidity and lack of general empathy to my people. Specifically I don't believe she had any ill will with the costume, but she's still a fukking idiot.

Halloween brings out a lot of idiots. Racist idiots. Ignorant idiots. Either way, "black-face" will never be ok with me, not on Halloween, not on SNL, not ever.

dont see anything wrong with this. She painted her skin brown...to look like the character. Blackface is totally different. Black face paint to accentuate(make fun of) the white eyes and white teeth

On top of that, she's simply dressing as a TV character. Ppl can't dress ike TV/movie characters now for Halloween? :rudy: Would white ppl care if I painted my face white to be Dracula?
