Yu Yu HakushoBeen thinking about getting into anime lately. I dunno where to start or look or shyt. Only saw Yasuke
At least they are not playing Dungeons and Dragons and shyt. Gotta draw a line somewhere
That’s gon be next mark my words. Just have to fuse it with more traditional game and I betcha it’ll catch on.
Been an anime fan since 1991 shyt fell the fukk off the last few years it would become super popular right when its getting to be consistently trash
Man, Sci-Fi channel on Saturdays always showed those more adult OVAs. Also the back of GameFan magazine usually talk about anime (as well as Japanese exclusive games). Anime in the 90s was just so different than most of the stuff you see today.
Samurai Pizza Cats, Speed Racer, Gatchaman, Ranma 1/2, and some others I can't remember the name of at the moment. Classics
Just went through the thread. How did no one mention Street Fighter the animated movie yet?
The Chun-li/Vega fight was as a kid lol

FF14 just broke records as the largest MMO of all-time and won a few awards in 2021. JRPGs ain't going nowhere. The masses are getting on board with JRPGs with Persona and Japanese games in general with the Yakuza series
And the only reason is cuz 4kids fukked that shyt up and tried to censor it and make it childish liek PokémonMegan the Stallion and Michael B Jordan are repping anime proudly. It's fully mainstream now

One Piece is the only Shonen that never took off all the way here in the States and it's still pretty popular
