Lucy got Smurf protection.....and if I'm not mistaken, that was her maybe directing the whole thing, Lucy/Marco need distributors and runners (ostensibly, in the show's world) and she sold out Baz for Smurf's blessing and continued help, is my theory. I watched the finale kind of distractedly.

I don't think Jay would have killed Baz nor do I think Smurf would order a hit on Baz. She is just mad at Baz at the moment and thinks he needs to be corrected like the child he is.
I honestly believe Lucy set him up. Her conversations with Jay's girlfriend made it clear, at least to me, that she is up to no good.

Seems weird to me, because he was basically up there with Ellen Barkin and the youngster in terms of pushing the narrative.I CANT BELIEVE THEY KILLED OFF THE MOST ROUNDED CHARACTER.

I done a little more research, and supposedly he's going to be on Grey's Anatomy as a new doctor. Also, the producers of Animal Kingdom said the character of Baz lasted longer than the character the show is originally based on....shyt IS VERY WEIRD.

They better have some hella good writers because most of the actors on the show really don't have that much range. Pope is cool, but he's still acting like he did in that horror movie about that monster that infected the whole high school. J gotta step up and bring more energy to his scenes, or this is going to be the last season of the show.
