I guarantee you she’s cursing out Jennifer Hudson behind closed doors. How is it her ex is crushing over her, “when she’s heavier and darker than me?”

That’s how a lot of these light skinned women think. They adopt the same Willie Lynch mentality when it comes to dating. No way should a dark skinned heavier woman have more options in this racial hierarchy of dating.

They’re truly entitled and warped. If black men aren’t fawning over them, they go completely haywire.
Well, that’s because they’re used to Black men fawning over them

Had a good chat with a sista I know who works…closely with government agencies and she said despite the optics, now isn’t the time to worry, and that the knowledgeable staff in these agencies will be the ones doing the work- as always. She had no issues during the last Trump administration, def did well under Biden, but says for now it’ll still be business as usual…
I mean of course I’m still concerned but she’s one of the few I’ve met who has actually worked her way up the ladder, earned her stripes and consistently beats these racists at their game so if she isn’t concerned yet, I feel a little more comfortable. 🤷🏾‍♀️
Maybe I’m blinded by my own perspective of course

But this is why I’m so apathetic towards the whole thing

I’m literally in DC, and not just existing here, I have access to some of the political side and business etc due to my career

Literally no one really is talking about the election or anything it’s like I forget it ever happened until I get online

Big ass deals and investments are being made (black people AND white people), plans, career growth, all types of crazy ass deal yall about to hear about, opportunities etc

I’m not saying that the election will have zero effect but I am saying the people that are in the know I’ve seen in a worse state than right now it’s like business as usual.

Also I get mad at these podcaster Rye and Cross types because they have the most minimal pull to do anything like literally there are like the gum on someone’s shoe IRL but on their platforms you would think they are movers and shakers lmao

They can’t make shyt happen or guide anyone to do anything they are like invisible ppl but loud online it’s so crazy to me lol

That's generally how it is after every election, business as usual :skip:

If you're smart, got your degrees/certs/connections/hustler spirit, chances are your life will continue as normal.

There's nothing wrong with being concerned cause Trumps a piece of shyt, but all this crashing out is ridiculous.

Well essentially, a lot of people come here to lobby, make deals, invest, have confernces etc, so there is a ton of intertwining between politics, activism, tech, media, entertainment etc and since I've been in it so long you just know a lot of people or are privy to a lot of conversations

And there have been times people have been on edge, and multiple industries are affected. The worst I can rememebr off top is def Covid (the rich white old people's response is actually what made me get the vax and treat it as real, because they were using money and influence to jump the line with their families over poor old black people, but saying something diff online:jbhmm: )

And when I say deals and investments - it's like hearing and knowing the strategies for Q1-Q3 for investors or entertaimers/influencers, new startups etc - 2025 is going to be a lot of money flowing around. You have to get off of sites like this and onto channels like TechCrunch or YC Combinator YT channel and that smae stuff they are talking about, I got homies who are the ones doing what you see (leveraging AI into their models, selling companies, etc)

And i am Black, the people who I am talkingn about are Black (Im making the disctiction because there's this thing out here that we can't or aint doing shyt) but what you start to realize is most of the regular Black people selling companies and buying mad properties and building homes in Bali don't really have all the time in the world to podcast or post on social media all day. I was at an event yesterday, this girl just got an award peep her IG (link). Her name is Jewel Burke.

So I spend a lot of time helping young people in the streets learn that there's this "secret" way out that's not so secret you just can't be looking at the social media people all day faking what they are doing

I said a lot and probably wasn't as detailed as I could be but hopefully that makes a bit of sense. That's also why I get annoyed at those Angela Ryes because they are never anywhere helping anyone or doing comunity events or talking to people who really get shyt done but they are always online complaining and at the parties during CBC week like some fukking IG model, they just political influencers who can out loud you or use big words - its a hustle whether THEY know it or not

Brehs I am sorry. A lot of people are disappointed over the election. I get it. Trump is sure to bring an insane amount of fukkery

The wailing and gnashing of teeth by black women is over the top. I don’t hear Indian women crying in the streets over Kamala. It comes off to me as black women just can’t take a L.

My girl has a good friend in Ga. She is married with a kid. She has a business dealing with selling yarn. She actually does very well and has a ton of white customers naturally. She is always pro black and every once in a while she has to check one of her customers but nothing crazy.

After the election she was so distraught she started cancelling orders from all white customers. She blocked all of her white customers on social media. Her husband is :why: because 94% of her customers are white women. She keeps saying white women are playing in black womens faces and she will not deal with them. She has no idea about which of her customers support Trump. She don’t care. She just blocked them all

Her husband keeps trying to reason with her but she started barking on him so he went :francis:

Repped.

Got me :dead::dead::dead::dead:

I think this election really shattered the black girl magic / intersectional feminist / all men are trash / Malcolm x quote types’ spirits. They truly believed that they lived in a different country than they do
I agree. I just think there are a lot of folks who really didn’t realize that the pendulum swung after Obama. The first female President, whenever that happens, will be a White woman lol

In retrospect if we are really honest. There was no way white women were going to let the first female president be black or of color. No way in hell. White women are passive aggressive and will smile in black womens faces and vote the other way in the booth

I see a lot of black women really hurt and angry because they thought it was women against men. Nah it’s black against white.

shyt that might not ever happen if you let white women tell it. They keep voting against themselves in alignment with white men
