Angela Basset is fine as fck, but I never really identified her like that, because she always came across so sophisticated and serious, and older than her years. She had that mom vibe from jump. Just goes to show that we value hoeish behavior, rather than a classy woman who keeps her ish tight and professional, because there is NO reason why Ms Basset shouldnt have a higher profile in our community as a sex symbol (well, before not now because shes aging)

I've always been a huge fan of Angela Bassett and YES she's by far the better actress and YES she would have been the perfect Storm. It's known that she turned down the role for Monster's Ball too.

She should have been more successful than what she is, but I guess that's what happens when black folk don't control the media.
