Told idiots on this site that the whole automation shyt was overblown. Outsourcing yes outsourcing overseas was a greater threat to any American job non government or defense contracting.

And two most these so called automated jobs are semi automated with the labor passed onto the consumer as free labor. For example the quick checkout line at walmart. The idiot consumer provides the free labor and the system is semi automated meaning the system does one function automated and the human provides the other function by using labor. So the dumb consumer picks up the package and scans it and places it in a bag.

This process was always semi automated before because the walmart cashier provided the labor. Now the dumb ass consumer has replaced the cashier to save walmart money all in the mirage of it's faster. But the consumer doing the work and yet walmart isn't passing on the savings to the consumer.

Americans just dumb and need to take some high school classes in manufacturing and processes. Then they would know the difference in outsourcing, labor rates, semi automation and true automation.

Automation is overblown yes. But UBI is still a good idea that should be enacted anyway
