There is not enough questions being answered. 2 wks ago, Luck said he would be ready for wk1. Its a reason the colts are just letting him keep that 24mil bonus. And it isn't out of the kindness of their heart. I want answers:damn:

I heard him in the press conference he just sounded beaten down. Maybe he has a change of heart after resting for a year or two. It’s very difficult to move on when he’s basically been playing football since he was a toddler

Stories like this really highlight just how deranged and stupid most older white sports fans are. This dude has had a lacerated kidney, multiple concussions, fukked his ankle/calf, and a broken shoulder that will not heal...yet we gotta hear from some dumbass construction worker about how he had to work for 8 hours with a bad back for $12 an hour and therefore Luck's pain doesn't count.
:mjlol:

It's not just race, these dudes just have a disdain for rich athletes man. Notice how they always take the side of ownership in disputes. Maybe it's something about America, where a man at the bottom of the totem pole will blindly support corporate ownership who fukks him over just because he thinks that one day he might become a boss too.
:francis:

Daps and salute to Luck and all real Colts fans. I'm a Lions fan so you know I've been thru something like this before (twice lmao).

That's the problem right there. Everyone believes in "The American Dream", you can be anything you want, bullshyt!

Yea, there’s something to this. It ain’t about the org doing some shyt out of the kindness of their heart when others have had to pay back bonuses

And these owners don't like precedents being set like that. Seems like a self preservation move. All that team doctor shyt seems shady to begin with. Im thinking they didn't want to be exposed.

Everyone who saw Luck doing drills last wk said he looked amazing and will be ready for wk 1.

Call it soft but anybody that’s participated in these two sports beyond the “for fun” level knows you gotta be wired differently to sign up for that.

I played as a youngin as did everyone else around the way but at a certain point i realized that the kids that truly enjoyed ramming their heads into people at full speed all practice long were wired differently from me. I told pops i was done with that shyt and was sticking with just baseball.

He barely did any drills. He was on limited participation during training camp and then was pulled from participation all together. He said multiple times in media scrums that his pain was not improving and in fact he felt like he was going to get injured, but he wrapped everything in his country boy aw shucks positive attitude that people didn't really pay attention to what he was saying. The hope was he'd be ready for full practice on 8/26 and he'd be able to get his missed reps in before the season started, but he planned to officially retire the day before that.

That's from 8/15, just after camp ended, and it talks about IF Luck plays at all, it would be with lingering pain and he'd probably miss games and might not even play until into September. When you look at the progression of announcements and media reports/talks, you can see it go from

Excited for training camp
Luck on limited participation at training camp due to calf issue
Calf issue is also an ankle issue, Luck pulled from training camp after 3 days
Luck ruled out of pre-season due to calf/ankle issue, Luck saying to the press the pain was not getting better and he felt like there was a bad injury waiting to happen
Luck not practicing in pre-season due to calf/ankle issue
Colts hopeful Luck will be ready for regular season opener, willing to let him play at 85-90% if Luck can handle it, talk about pain threshold being a major obstacle in the situation
Colts GM doesn't say when Luck will return but hopes a change in rehab will allow him to prepare for the season opener that he had yet to do any practice for
Luck retires the day before they had tentatively penciled him in to begin practicing

Its video of him jumping over bags before the Browns gm. And he did it when fans were in the stadium. That is a bad look. He was smiling and engaging teammates. Again, a bad look. Dungy said when he went to camp, Luck wasn't practicing but was doing all of this shyt like jumping on and over shyt and looked determined to get ready to play.

He was doing rehab. Rehab that he said was not helping and seemed to be exacerbating his issue. Colts PR and Luck himself dropped the "this isn't 2017" shyt very early on and it became increasingly clear he was not going to be ready at the start of the season if at all. He was all smiles through all of his injuries. Also Tony Dungy doesn't work for or speak for the Colts.

If people were paying attention at all they should have known at the very least Luck wasn't going to be ready at the start of the season or this season at all. The retirement was more than what a lot of people thought, but retirement rumors have been in the air for him since 2016.

Dude was out in public talking about bone issues and the mental strain he's been through and how scared he was to come back from his last injury issue. Meanwhile, his GM is in public saying they'd let Luck play at 85% healthy and he'd be dealing with pain issues all season.

You don't rehab in front of a crowd on gameday. Luck is to blame for a lot of the circus.

The guy he replaced damn near needed his head decapitated to retire. I still can't believe how Luck went out.

This is why Brady might just be the goat. He would never do no bishmade shyt like this.

Brady hasnt been hurt like him he would of been retired if he did

Agreed, the PR team has taken a lot of Ls this past offseason but this right here was dumb as hell. You don't juelz around with Week 1 availability and have your franchise QB (who, at the time, is fukking mulling retirement) do pre-game drills in front of the fans. They said it wasn't 2017, but they damn sure did a fine job of overtaking that fiasco.

An NBC Pro Football Talk interview with Peter King, where Luck says regarding his Week 1 status and I quote, ""I certainly believe I will. That's a goal." :skip:

Like I said before, I don't condone the booing but when you factor all of this in...I'm not surprised by their reactions. This entire situation was poorly handled by almost everyone involved and this wasn't the first time its happened either. The only good thing I can say about all this is Frank Reich's presser from Saturday and yesterday.
