I don't disagree that strings were pulled to bury the story and swept under the rug. But, here we are; his favoritism only extended so far.

Here's the thing, the inability to control sexual drive has lead to the downfalls of many politicians.
Technically, Gillum thought he was doing the right thing by hiring the repeat services of an escort rather than hooking up with randoms....or having a steady person that could expose/blackmail him
