And yeah, Floyd could sell out a huge stadium (only with the right fight) but that's my point. Floyd isn't just a national star. He's the single most famous fighter in the world, and one of the worlds most famous athletes, and the perhaps the biggest draw of the history of the sport. It'd take THAT level of popularity for an American fighter to do stadium numbers. Why? Anything less just isn't enough to rise to the top of pop culture.

Froch is nowhere NEAR as popular as that but could get 30k into a stadium. That is inccredibly impressive. You're comparing a national star to a world icon. That's fukking ridiculous. If Floyd is the only American fighter that could do stadium numbers (which he is, and he could ONLY do it with Manny or Canelo, two other damn superstars) then my point is proven.

To get 70k into a stadium in a country that is spoiled for choice with sporting events both parties need to bring something to the table.
