@patscorpio you bugging the fukk out my man
You wouldn't happen to be one of those fans that calls athletes greedy and selfish for wanting as much money as possible while the owners make 100x more off the backs of them like slave labor, would you? :onetimeorly:
if an athlete performs well he should get big money..and should demand it..ill use the GOAT Mike Vick as an example...mike had the best season of his whole career back in 2010 with the eagles...sonning the living shyt out of the teams..esp the other NFC East teams (it was wonderful )...in return he was blessed with a 100 million dollar contract..his second contract of that nature...now the subsequent seasons afterwards showed a decline in his performance..what do you think happened to his contract? it got restructured and he lost millions..why because he wasn't performing to justify that contract...you think he should've gone to Jeff Lurie and say "Hey I should still be making 100 milly for being on that field?" and be justified in doing that?..he made even less once he went to your team and now the steelers
I guess @patscorpio doesn't realize or rather is forgetting that not every fighter gets the chance for the "right fight"
Go look at Prichard Colon. Or the Russian dude that Magomed fought. They're careers are over before they even really began
Fighters should get paid as much as they can regardless of where they're at in their career, because nobody knows when it's all over for them
breh you're stuck on that one side of the spectrum using those 2 fighters as extreme examples so ill use another example..who predates berto on this type of shyt..the members of the 2000 olympic boxing team?
we all know that some of those fighters got a million dollar plus signing bonus fresh outta the olympics..one of them was ricardo williams..dude got 1.4 milly off rip and didnt accomplish a damn thing to justify that money...he was all over TV...nikka was coming into the ring outta shape for his fights and wasnt applying himself against the journeymen he faced..eventually he got his zero by el pollo who was a replacement opponent..all of this shyt within his first 10 pro fights..you think him getting big money like that didnt play a part in ruining him..dude went to jail and made a comeback on the low and hasnt had any significant victories as a pro still..do we still give him big money for it?..there has to be a balance on this shyt
