@patscorpio you bugging the fukk out my man

You wouldn't happen to be one of those fans that calls athletes greedy and selfish for wanting as much money as possible while the owners make 100x more off the backs of them like slave labor, would you? :onetimeorly:

if an athlete performs well he should get big money..and should demand it..ill use the GOAT Mike Vick as an example...mike had the best season of his whole career back in 2010 with the eagles...sonning the living shyt out of the teams..esp the other NFC East teams (it was wonderful :to:)...in return he was blessed with a 100 million dollar contract..his second contract of that nature...now the subsequent seasons afterwards showed a decline in his performance..what do you think happened to his contract? it got restructured and he lost millions..why because he wasn't performing to justify that contract...you think he should've gone to Jeff Lurie and say "Hey I should still be making 100 milly for being on that field?" and be justified in doing that?..he made even less once he went to your team and now the steelers

I guess @patscorpio doesn't realize or rather is forgetting that not every fighter gets the chance for the "right fight"

Go look at Prichard Colon. Or the Russian dude that Magomed fought. They're careers are over before they even really began :francis:

Fighters should get paid as much as they can regardless of where they're at in their career, because nobody knows when it's all over for them

breh you're stuck on that one side of the spectrum using those 2 fighters as extreme examples so ill use another example..who predates berto on this type of shyt..the members of the 2000 olympic boxing team?

we all know that some of those fighters got a million dollar plus signing bonus fresh outta the olympics..one of them was ricardo williams..dude got 1.4 milly off rip and didnt accomplish a damn thing to justify that money...he was all over TV...nikka was coming into the ring outta shape for his fights and wasnt applying himself against the journeymen he faced..eventually he got his zero by el pollo who was a replacement opponent..all of this shyt within his first 10 pro fights..you think him getting big money like that didnt play a part in ruining him..dude went to jail and made a comeback on the low and hasnt had any significant victories as a pro still..do we still give him big money for it?..there has to be a balance on this shyt

Honestly breh, you'd be crazy to not try and negotiate the highest earnings you can get.

At work, I don't care how much money someone thinks I earned...I want the max for my position every year. I don't care if I came to work late/called off alot (coming in out of shape/didn't train), I still am going to try and get as much money I can. Same goes for Boxers....except they aren't allowed a "horrible day at the office". A "horrible day at the office" for a Boxer is a devastating KO where they can be hurt badly or have their career ended as a "hype job" and disregarded like Tony Harrison right now.

It's in their best interests to get as much as they can..as fast as they can, regardless of what us fans are saying. We don't pay their bills or have to help their families if they get hurt for our entertainment.

I'm sure no one here would ever turn down money offered by our jobs if our boss wanted to give us a 50% raise, talking about "nah...to be honest, I dont think I worked hard enough or focused on my work enough to deserve or justify this career high salary you're offering me. I deserve less"

Exactly

That "fighting to be great" shyt is a bunch of bullshyt

nikkas tried that narrative with :deadmanny: N guess what happened when Floyd "only" offered 40 Milly...that warrior legacy shyt straight to the bushes N it was fukk you pay me :aicmon:

Matthysse didn't give a shyt about legacy or "being great" he said fukk an IBF I'll keep my interim...why?? Cuz he was guaranteed a fight with the cash cow N wanted to get fukking paid

97g getting millions to fight Willie Monroe , David Lemeuix N now prolly Tureano Johnson... Being great would be moving to 168 fighting the P4P olympic undefeated for 15 yrs Champ...Borat trying to fukking get paid not take risks :camby:

I thought after the Earthquake Floyd picked Shane N Berto was left in the cold...(I was out of the loop during that time so can be mistaken)

Im not calling Keith a ducker until the next fight is announced...he looks bad being quiet N not showing up to Brooklyn a couple weeks ago...but we've been told the fight is next N Al told him stay quiet not like Chatty Patty Porter :manny:

The top Haymon fighters being paid well are fighting big fights...they aren't fighting anymore bums then the other side

nikkas are bums when they the Bside for PBC but get to HBO N its :gladbron::banderas::blessed:

Where has our moderator gone :russell:

Is he telling his boss he shouldn't get a raise this year because he rather go be great :jbhmm:

I was in the gym doing my thing but thank you for your concern about my where abouts :myman:

I don't have to tell my boss anything, my boss told me everything about my performance in my year end of review, possible promotion, and new salary going into 2016. Since you're so interested in my personal affairs I can screenshot my salary letter for you if you like lol

1. That's exactly what happened. The earthquake and then when he went to help Floyd and Shane decided to do their thing. No one's fault in this.

2. Herrera is not a bum at all. You of all people should know this. :heh:

I know what Herrera is...That's what Im saying breh....

For The lead up to the fight Herrera was treated N called a bum despite having a provodnikov W....muhfukkers were acting like he was Salka before Salka

Diery Jean was called N treated as a bum when he was PED Mando on Showtime

Diego Chaves was a no name bum when he fought Thurman on Showtime

Those same nikkas go N get fights on HBO N they're now great fights...that's that bias
