After seeing Silva, during the match before he broke his leg, I noticed he lost spark, it just wasn't the same Silva. He wasn't bouncing around, he wasn't throwing high leg kicks, he got knocked out in the first (it should have been stopped) he seemed like he was unplugged from the 'matrix'. I wonder if there should be an age limit? Some folks don't know when to call it quits and they end up doing more damage to themselves.

Vitor is set to face the champ (weird saying that while thinking of Weidman instead of Silva), I think it's unfair he gets to take TRT. If his body is producing less testosterone, that's his body's way of telling him it's time to call it quits. It's unnatural to replace your testosterone and increase the number your body produces. :wtf:
Both him and Hendo should be done, yet they get an unfair advantage now with TRT and experience.

Before you bring up Hopkins, that is a very rare case, and for all we know he shoots up TRT too. :shaq2:

Man losing Silva puts such a void in MMA. It's like the UFC is 1 point lower without him. There aren't many exciting fighters like that. We got Pettis and Cain (not going to list Aldo cause dude fights once a year) who do we have that's that gifted and finishes every fight like Silva? :to:

You gotta realize this is all part of the game. This is how fighters end their career.

No there shouldn't be an age limit, because you still have guys effective in their later years
Mayweather - 36
Wladimir Klitschko - 37
Thomas Adamek - 37
Tony Thompson - 42
Juan Manual Marquez - 40

I could go on

Scale games was his issue, he walks around at 230-250 and has fought in the division above 185, with him being almost 40 it eventually catches up with you, cutting around 40-45 pounds between every fight makes it almost impossible to maintain that level of skill......He should have moved up

Cut that KO first round shyt out though he got caught behind the ear off balance:comeon:

Anderson let's himself go when he's not training, he ballons up to a 'fat' 220-230 (not 250). An in-shape (and in training) Anderson Silva is around 200-205 pounds. Once he diets down a bit, he'll start his weight cut from around 195-200 pounds. He's not a big dude, he's just tall and lanky.

Anderson is just old and it's a new era of MMA, it's hard to say, but even in the Chael Sonnen fight 2, he didn't have the bounce or the cat like agility, and Chael basically fukked up with a wack ass spinning back fist. He looked stronger and more impressive at LHW, and should have moved up
Weidman is younger and more athletic, he won't lose until the middle weight division gets more athletic type dudes to compete against him
Vitor can take all the TRT he wants, hes gonna get KO'd, all the new MMA guys are more than likely on some sort of PED anyway

Randy Couture won a fight at 43.

It should be case by case but licenses should be harder to give out when guys are over the hill.

So you don't think 45 pounds aint too much to be trying to lose to make a weight when your 40:comeon:

Punch resistance lends credence to the weight thing, he ate shots from bigger bangers like nothing

B Hop's last fight was hilarious btw. And he actually gave an entertaining fight after the shenanigans.
