Welcome back to the top of the mountain! There are plenty of Nole fans on here that stood in the trenches during our dark days. Y'all know who you are. Good season!
I definitely didn’t stand in the trenches during the dark days but oh well :yeshrug:

I’m back now like I never left. If these teams want my loyalty they better at least look like they are trying to win.

Florida State is the first team in history to be told that beating a top-15 squad by double digits was basically just like losing.

If only they had needed a fluke play to beat 6-6 Auburn, that would have really impressed the committee and made them forget all about actually losing.

Opportunity + preparation <> Fluke

Fluke that Auburn rushed just 2 guys on a play where pressure immediately wins the game.

Fluke that Auburn had 8 guys deep to cover 5 recievers yet somehow only had 1 defender in that entire half of the end zone.

Fluke that Bond didn't get called for the obvious push-off.

Fluke that Milroe actually put a pass on target in a tight window.

Wisconsin was ranked 13th and lost 59-0. Ohio State got in.

Florida State couldn't just win by "double digits". They needed to win by multiple touchdowns.

Totally dismiss that the Big 12 had to come up with a tiebreaker on the fly because they didn’t have a title game. That’s why OSU got in. Could’ve been 14-0 and they would’ve gotten in that season.

Alabama barely won each of its last two games, one of which was against a terrible Auburn team, and yet they jumped from #8 to #4 in those two weeks. But Florida State winning by 10 over 10-2 #14 Louisville wasn't good enough to stay at #4, they had to win by multiple touchdowns even though, unlike Alabama, they were already undefeated?

Highly unlikely

Long: For Ohio State to get that against that Wisconsin team certainly made a difference in a lot of our minds.

No.

Everybody is aware of the SEC bias.
Multiple people knew and stated that they needed style points. They didn't do it.
Earlier this season, we saw USC drop in the rankings three straight weeks after winning ugly games against Colorado and Arizona.
As long as there are no guaranteed spots and judges still have this kind of power, style points will still matter.
