I was there on a layover last year, the food was . I can't even front, Texas and Louisiana food is crack.
I browse craigslist on the regular looking for a good deal on a dog and I always see them mix breeding chihuahuas mutts being sold for $200+ (ie chi-weenies, chipoodles, etc)What about the women. Stray dogs? Must be a lot of Mexicans. Bet they're little dogs to.
Houston feels like a third world country a lot of times.
yup...I went over there 2 years ago setting up a network for a company....I had that feeling as well.Houston feels like a third world country a lot of times.
It's good but they don't have those lil hole in the wall places were you can buy a giant burrito for $3 and be full for a day.
Job scene is real good. Cost of living makes your money last out here too.
I forgot to mention. I went to Subway and asked for advacado on my sandwich and the lady scooped it out a bowl with an ice cream scooper instead of just giving me fresh slices.
BlueBell Ice Cream is crack!!!
The bugs are prehistoric size. I was held hostage for 40 minutes by a giant mantis.

i was looking at the square miles of Houstons population and its beyond ridiculous its basically the size of a small state. it seems so spread out there. i was there ONE day flying in and loved the skyline but realized after that it was kinda spread out compared to the northeast cities im used tooI heard that it's a lot of Asians but now that you mention it, I haven't really seen them.

That sounds amazingAnd why the fukk do they have barbeque outside after night clubs ???
Just lil things I noticed since moving out here that probably seem regular to the people born and raised here.
-The don't call it a Laundromat. People go clean their clothes at the "Washateria". This one actually makes more sense than Laundromat. Teria is a suffix that denotes something is self serve. WTF is an "O-Mat" and why is it only used for laundry?
- There is an entirely too large amount of nikkas driving around in cop cars. Some of them even have the same paint job and that flash light by the driver side. LOL
- Stray dogs everywhere!
-I'm not used to all this fukking thunder!
- Nobody is affected by the humidity except me. I feel the same way every time I visit someone in a humid state. They're bone dry and I'm sweating like a fukking dog.
- It'll rain on one side of the street and be bone dry on the other side of the street.
- Seen some people walking non dogs animals on leashes.
- The people are nice as shyt but all drive like @ssholes.
- If it's traffic on the freeway and your exit ramp isn't for another mile. People tend to just ride off the road and make their own exit.
- Constables!! I didn't know that they had these in America.
