They collectively have, as other posters have said, a very intense cognigative dissonance as a result of this. When I was out of high school, I always couldnt stand a fukkin hypocrite. The more I learn, the more it is plain that blatant hypocrisy might as well have been invented by them.

They are just living in a world that does not exclusively cater to them compared to the past. It's like those why is there a BET and not a WET disregarding the fact that entertainment catered towards them need not carry the white label. I bet some can sit down and watch How I met your mother and believe that it caters for everyone. They also like to point out racial pride by other ethnic groups in a disingenious manner. They argue that white people are not "allowed" to show pride when they know very well that whenever they express that pride it is explicitly linked to hatred of other groups than it is love for their group. The KKK at it's peak had 4 or 5 million people which apparently was close to 20% of the white adult male population. Such an elevated level of hatred was attached to their expression of ethnic pride. The under attack part also stems from the idea that the media is now not tightly controlled like in the days of few media channels, stories that investigate racial motives behind some of the past legislation like the GI Bill, housing policies, suburban sprawl etc explicitly mention the racism behind it which frustrates them a lot more.
