Why are you upset? I view the Xbox as a Game Pass device and until they end Game Pass or shut down Gold conversion basically nothing has changed.

Read it again, breh. I'm laughing at myself, because I probably should've just bought a PC instead of my XBox. I was referring to all the stans going nuclear right now. They've made their console choice their identity, and it's looking like they've had a major part of that rug pulled out from under them.

I dont think anyone expected Xbox to leave hardware. They still need a box for their gamepass since nin/sony wouldnt allow that on their platforms. Also what does "xbox console users went up" mean. Seems like double speak. Why not just say sells improved compared to last quarter?

Seems they moved up the meeting because of the leak.
We’re told Microsoft was originally planning this business update for later this month, alongside an announcement of Hi-Fi Rush for PS5 and Nintendo Switch. After speculation around Hi-Fi Rush, Starfield, and other Xbox games coming to PS5 intensified over the weekend, Microsoft has moved up its announcement.

That’s according to Windows Central executive editor Jez Corden, who discussed his understanding of Microsoft’s first-party strategy in a series of X posts this weekend.

Xbox won’t have exclusives going forward. Everything is timed exclusive at most,” he claimed.

“If some games are exclusive it’s gonna be incidental at best, the ‘case by case’ argument is by and large going to be multiplat, timed, and with maybe a few (very few) outliers,” Corden later added.

And responding to a user who said they didn’t believe Xbox’s upcoming Fable game would come to PlayStation, Corden wrote: “That game was monstrously expensive. It might not be day one, but it’ll come with the current plan in place imo”

dude is wrong all the time, and ain't even claiming to have inside info

It makes sense if they built games like Fable around the idea of them being “system sellers” thats where the monster budgets are made up with console sales and increased store spending. If Microsoft are no longer placing a huge emphasis on console sales they might not view games like Fable necessary as being exclusive.
