Her sketch show is actually quite funny, her stand up is too hit or miss. Almost like a poor woman's Lisa Lampernelli.

I don't know when America tried to push raunchy unattractive women as funny but it needs to go.
Bette Midler. Late 60s, early 70s. New York fakkit bath house scene. Jew homosexuals thought she was the bee's knees, and part of that appeal was that she was considered unattractive because she had a Jew nose (just like them!) and dressed in an outdated style (the 40s), but she had spunk, she was brash, and talked about shyt she wasn't supposed to.
Maybe it's easier to laugh at unattractive women, or to laugh with them. I don't know. A lot of comedians are big girls or lesbians. I guess Sarah Silverman would have been an outlier except she's a Jew with a Jew nose and therefore -- the slender version of a 'big girl'.
