I think he wants the manny fight.
Khan's an interesting guy.
Once the fight is actually signed, inside the ring, he's all heart.
Outside the ring, the way he manages his career is 100% business. Doesn't even attempt to balance sport & business. He never attempted to revenge any of his losses. Prolly never cared either. All he cares about is money & wants to take the easiest path to get there. If he dropped Haymon, it would be perfectly within character. He could go after Pacquaio. There's options for him outside of PBC. He's even mentioned Cotto in the past. He basically wants to fight the best guys, but solely for money. He doesn't want to beat the top guys to get to those guys.

"WBA 'regular' welterweight champion Keith 'One Time' Thurman (26-0, 22KOs) is very eager to get in the ring with British superstar Amir 'King" Khan (31-3, 19KOs).
Both fighters were chasing the lucrative September 12th date against WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. According to the widespread press clippings, both fighters have been passed over in favor of former champion Andre Berto.
In a few recent interviews, Khan expressed his interest in facing Thurman - but likely in 2016. He wasn't overly impressed with Thurman's ability - stating that his nickname should be changed to 'sometimes' for the lack of promised knockouts.
Why wait, says Thurman. They both share the same adviser in Al Haymon. Thurman is ready to do it this year. At the moment, neither fighter has a scheduled date or opponent for the fall.
