honestly... I loved the character. I feel like him at times when dealing with family and money. I liked his ruthlessness.. Despite him fukking up... But always kept fam in mind. I liked the character

Someone who is just a product of his environment.. Had talent to do other shyt but was just impelled to do shyt he didn't initially want to do.

I relate more to him than Luke. Put family and his name first. Loved the entire show first.. But when i saw Cottonmouth with that rocketlauncher after getting fukked out of all his money.. shyt had me like:gladbron:.

From someone who is always trying to get fukked out of money from different entities.. That shyt was hard as fukk...

Yup same. I'm on episode 6 and he is by far the better character. I've seen people spin the cheesy dialogue as an homage to blaxploitation, but blaxploitation movies always had a cool antihero protagonist. Luke Cage is swagless and acts like a cop so Cottonmouth comes off as the cool antihero

The whole show went downhill after his death. By far the best thing about the show.
I agree 100% Even the musical guest went down the drain tapered off IMO when he died. At first it immediately reminded me of NY Undercover with a new musical guest every episode but as soon as he died its like the age of the musical guest dropped almost 30 years. His laugh was even classic.

The Delfonics and Sharon Jones are qualified as "down the drain now"? :usure:

Charles Bradley also performed while Cottonmouth was still alive, so I have no idea where you got 30 years from.

I misspoke not "down the drain" but it seems like the musical features went to a whole nutha generation. Not saying they were wack just went to an older audience once Alfre Woodard took over the club. I guess it makes sense since she was older than Cottonmouth the musical guest would be too. I just hate that he died so early.
