You think that's bad? In 1667, the Virginia House of Burgesses passed a law that stated that even if a slave were Baptised, they were STILL a slave for life. Closed that little loophole and took away any chance to be free. Then, in 1669, they made it perfectly legal for an owner to kill a slave just because they felt like it. Slave looked at a 'White' person the wrong way, hang him.
