For what to happen or until what happens? What you mean bruh?

O, I missed the header. For control on firearms? We'd have to amend the constitution or do a constitutional convention (this needs to be done for other reasons) which opens up the constitution for being redone to address the gun issue in total. The U.S. private arms firms profits nicely and states receives good tax revenues from gun sales plus they lobby to keep it going (remember the ending of that Nik Cage movie where he was an arms dealer) too tough of an issue to address nationwide.

Say guns were outlawed, that incident probably would have still happened. It's soooo easy to get a gun off the street. I know a whole illegal gun emporium, and I ain't even on no gangster shyt. It's fukked up cause you gotta address the issue, but you can't ban firearms, cause then only the criminals will have access

How about the criminals who steal firearms from the legal gunowner's homes?

You can ban firearms, that's how it works in other countries. Then it depends on how you enforce that ban, but yeah you'll always have illegal weapons around. The point is, the more firearms you KNOW are in circulation (such as in the US), the more likely you are to buy one yourself. But in places where it's not the case, the incentive to buy a firearm (legally or not) is much lower, it's really not worth the hassle.

White man's creation

Technically, Ancient China. Who knows why they didn't develop it further though.

2nd Amendment is the 2nd amendment for a reason. The founders understood that power corrupts and gave citizens the means to remove them from power through force if necessary (if the levers of checks and balance fail). And I don't wan to hear all that "it's outdated" nonsense.

You conspiracy theorist specially should support the 2nd amendment at all costs. How are you going to defend yourself against the "imperialist big brother" when the war comes to your door step?

2nd Amendment is the 2nd amendment for a reason. The founders understood that power corrupts and gave regular citizens the means to remove them from power through the 2nd amendment if necessary (if the levers of checks and balance fail). And I don't wan to hear all that "it's outdated" nonsense. I like knowing that if our government ever becomes tyrannical we have the means to wage all out war from the inside.

Why is it though, that of all countries, that only Americans are so scared of their government? The way I understand it (and I'm not sure I understand it well), your argument is that should the Government become tyrannical, then the people should be able to defend themselves.

But:

- How are you going to protect yourselves with guns, rifles and aks against planes, tanks, hell even A-Bombs? Makes no sense.
- When exactly have American citizens been seriously endangered by their own government? You make it sound like it's Sudan out there.

I'm genuinely surprised by the level of distrust Americans have towards their government, I mean you have it in most countries but it's usually at the "they're corrupt" level, not the "damn, I need some protection from my Prime Minister".

Easy, the same way middle east insurgents have been doing it without large scale weaponry. There is nothing wrong with a healthy distrust in government, the founders had them. And its not only threats from the inside, but outside as well - right to bear arms is why no country could ever occupy us (as the British found out during the American revolution).

At the end of the day I like my guns, I have a right to bear arms and I'm a law abiding citizen - end of story. You don't like it? Move to a country where there is no 2nd amendment. There's plenty of them.

One more time for you idiots and foreigners:

The 2nd Amendment is there so you can protect yourself against your own government if it need be. It has nothing to with criminals, criminal activity, or any other crap. State governments extend the right to use the firearm to protect yourself, home and property.

JESUS fukkING CHRIST. Read a fukking book or take 15 minutes to read a wiki or something.
