Pretty good so far. Surprised at the few posts here.

It's actually more interesting than the N.E./Bobby Brown flicks - both aired on BET

Decided to wait until the whole season was out before watching.

Halfway through and its fire. The cast is dope. Sinqua has come a long way since playing Shawn on Power. The lawyer is straight Bobby Brown as Rufus Thomas was . Just getting to the Little Richard episode now.

I felt a way about BET not renewing 'The Breaks' but between the New Edition-verse and this, I get it.

Loved it.
Cast - dope. Script - dope. The actresses were Tessa and Isla Gabrielle Dennis as Tina Turner too

Only thing I would change is the songwriters for the Encore joints. That 'Mama Was A Rollercoaster' joint is cool, but it sounds a little too modern.

I would be interested in seeing what Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Adrian Younge and Raphael Saadiq could do if they took a crack at writing the music.

Damn I wish this show would've came back. It was damn good. BET would rather show re-runs of 30 yr old shows instead of brand new original content. I totally understand why I just don't fukk with it anymore
