The end of the world scenario seemed so...plain. Like it happened but wasn't that big of a deal

This first ep was entertaining just for fukkery's sake (I laughed a lot during the opening considering it was about a nuclear apocalypse) but until the last 5 or so minutes it all felt like it was in a holding pattern and I was just waiting for any characters that were connected to prior seasons to show up.
