Nothing terribly impressive just depicted enslaved people meeting with the old African gods. Wale was there, sang Wade in the water. Thought they’d skimp on the ‘pro black’ imagery from now on considering it but turns out they didn’t

Seems like I was the only person to watch Season 3 of America God's. Let me sum it up for those who might want to know what I endured.
Imagine if an autistic version of Hype Williams was given a 10 million budget to do the visuals, throw in magical negros, poorly cast orishas who's main purpose was to dance the maladies away, Wale as a slave and narrator, a 35 minute
scene, plot holes deeper that the Mariana trench and the cherry on top was the mixed-race protagonist sporting an emo straightened hairstyle. Only redeemable thing about the show is the stopped at 10 episodes and didn't prolong the absolute travesty this show has become.

It is a jumbled up mess and worst part is they will get a season 4 to further ruin the show.

The pro black Imagery was so heavy handed and pointless. None of the slavery motifs did anything to serve the story, just an excuse for the writers/producers to show slavery. Black characters on the show only served to dance, be victims of torture, narrate the white experience and offer advice to white characters.
