I'll celebrate when this becomes the norm for when cops kill black people. My feeling is that they had no problem sacrificing a white woman to protect themselves. When white male officers start going to prison that will be a true sign of change. This is a start but we still have a ways to go.

We need to study this case so we can replicate its success. The story of a police officer killing an unarmed black man happens way too frequent, and oftentimes the cop gets away with it. So how did she lose the case? Weak defense? Strong prosecutor? What was the racial makeup of the jury?

Imagine if the jury were majority CAC?
If it were, there would be a higher likelihood of

1) pro cop people being present
2) since she's white they would be more sympathetic because of their same skin color
3) racist/prejudice
