from what I’ve been reading in this county of Texas, the jury can be the ones who determine the actual sentence and not the judge???

idk what you are reading other than other people's posts but this is what the statute says

Art. 37.07.2(b) Except as provided by Article 37.071 or 37.072 (capital cases), if a finding of guilty is returned, it shall then be the responsibility of the judge to assess the punishment applicable to the offense; provided, however, that (1) in any criminal action where the jury may recommend community supervision and the defendant filed his sworn motion for community supervision before the trial began, and (2) in other cases where the defendant so elects in writing before the commencement of the voir dire examination of the jury panel, the punishment shall be assessed by the same jury, except as provided in Section 3(c) of this article and in Article 44.29. If a finding of guilty is returned, the defendant may, with the consent of the attorney for the state, change his election of one who assesses the punishment.
CODE OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE CHAPTER 37. THE VERDICT
i believe this means she would have had to select the jury to give the sentence before trial. otherwise it will be the judge

What's the minimum amount of time she will receive? This was totally avoidable and now two lives and two families were destroyed. What's even more disturbing is the lack of value placed on black lives. Folks think they can just unjustly kill blacks and get away with that shyt. Get on the stand, cry and give them some bull story.

I can't stand this amber bytch but I watched the trial and heard Amber's testimony and seen her break down in tears on the stand. From seeing that and hearing about the other tenants going to the wrong floor/apartment I will admit that I think she actually did make a mistake that day.

A mistake of thinking her ugly ass would be found not guilty and end up going free. That's the only mistake that ugly bytch made
