How is it disingenuous? They are coming regardless of the tax break, right? Companies hire on need, not whether they get a tax break or not.

She was wrong about everything evem what the tax credits were. The whole point was to incentivize the scale and most importantly, to put jobs in Queens. This does nothing for that. Amazon already had a presence here and already was addi g jobs

Breh, there are many COMPANIES that are expanding into NYC. And they are doing it without government subsidies. That was the point.

They just picked up a big production company deal in Queens (I recall Robert DeNiro's name involved) and the original plans they scrapped for the HQ2 deal are back in order if I'm not mistaken. Not to mention all of the tech industry fearmongering wound up for naught.
