After accumulating $277 million and counting from its earlier international release, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 finally opened domestically this weekend where it earned an estimated $92 million to top the box office.
While $30 million more than its 2012 predecessor made in its opening, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was nowhere near the openings of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man ($114.8 million) and Spider-Man 3 ($151.1 million).
