I'm baffled how any black person can't see how this is a problematic mindset for our community and further destroys our already fkked up family unit. This is a case by case basis. If we have a family and have built something then those are other factors. People bringing up Beyoncé, they’re worth damn near a billion together right? Those are a billion other factors to consider and they have three kids. A just dating relationship though, no sir. At that point you’re wasting my time. I don’t cheat, and I never have. So I’m being loyal to you when I could be looking for someone that’s possibly better? nah.

And if you cheat and I find out, things will never be the same . I’ve never been in the situation (or at least I didn’t know), so I can’t really say, but I do think you have to consider other things before making rash decisions especially if you have a family.

Her views on relationships leave alot to be desired. My issue with her views is that her reason for staying sounds less like I forgave him for emotionally hurting me and more like I forgave you so I can emotionally hurt you back in the long run.

Shes staying because she doesn't want "some other bytch" to have him and because he needs to stay to "suffer with me". I don't know what abusive people you all have been dating but both of these statements are passive aggressive and the mentatily of an emotionally abusive person. Why should I keep you around just to hang your "mistake" over your head if I'm so cool about you cheating on me. Why should I care if some other woman has you if I'm so cool about you cheating.

The other thing that bothered me was her saying she doesn't care as long as she "doesn't know about it". So I guess she would feel the same if she found out her man gave her an incurable disease from all of his secret affairs.

Another part that bothered me was her saying "I'll let you go when I feel I'm ready" and " Im going to make you miserable for a while". This is another example of passive aggressive emotional abuse. Why hold on to a man that doesn't want you. Why keep a man around just to emotionally abuse him if you are so cool about cheating. Why waste that energy when you can leave and start fresh with someone that deserves your time.

I got a little wordy but in short she is not cool with cheating, she just tolerates cheating because she knows she can fukk with you emotionally in the long run. This is not a healthy adult relationship mindset.
