Why?
Because you are not obligated to stay in any relationship in which you are unhappy. You need to be happy, plain and simple!
Now..
If you decided to play games and try to ping pong in/out of her life, then you would be fukked up. If you just up and ghosted on her w/o telling her that the relationship is over, then you would be fukked up. If you berated her and abused her because of her being overly emotional, then you may be a lil fukked up.
However...
Even if you did the aforementioned...
Being fukked up is manageable! I mean, so what if you were fukked up? Lots of people say and do fukked up things and dgaf! They sleep well at night. Some even get rewarded for their effed up behavior and attitude.
Moral of the story is that you have to be happy and at peace with yourself! Not every person you date is going to be spouse material. Some relationships last shorter/longer than others. Some people click right away whereas others gradually click after some work. I hope you do leave her alone or if you one of those types that believe in getting back with exes, then at least tell her to seek counseling before you and her rekindle the flame.

Thanks! I know it's hard to break up with people, especially if you genuinely like the person, but at the same token, staying in a relationship that is toxic or staying with someone that negatively affects your overall well being can cause you to mistreat that person which isn't a good look.
In this current climate, I would be afraid to be with a woman who is excessively emotional. I would be afraid to touch her, let alone have sex with her, because I don't want to be accused of rape or sexual assault. Not saying that it would happen, but I can't be confident that it would not happen.
The point of being with someone is to be happy in that person's company and vice versa. There are other people out there who could be just as good, if not better, for you. Just gotta be resilient and confdent in yourself and take care of your own happiness. YOLO! Fugg it! *shrugs*
