BRIDGEPORT – An aspiring YouTube rapper was apparently rhyming from real life and was arrested this week and charged with slew of charges, including operating a drug factory.
Victor Martinez, 31, of Park Ave was arrested Tuesday after a Statewide Urban Violence Cooperative Crime Control Task Force executed a search-and-seizure warrant Tuesday, according to a press release.
During the search, police recovered about 300 bags of heroin for street-level sales, crack cocaine and $2,148. There was also an additional 347 grams – about three quarters of a pound — of raw, uncut heroin concealed in a baby-wipe box next to his daughters bed.
Police also recovered ammunition and a loaded .38-caliber revolver with five live rounds.
Martinez who raps under the name “Sose Da Great,” hails himself as a, “Connecticut Criminal,” on one song and brags about his drug activity on another.
“I be, rhyming since 93, I sold crack, sold dope, weed and hashish,” raps Martinez on a song called “Music from the Heart” posted on YouTube.
Martinez, who is currently on adult probation for narcotic violations, has known ties to local gangs within Bridgeport, say police. He was found leaving his home as police where entering and was arrested.

“Today, the city is a safer place after police took an illegal gun and a criminal, who hid narcotics by his daughter’s bed, off the streets.” said Mayor Bill Finch after the arrest.
Martinez was charged with operating a drug factory, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school, criminal possession of a firearm and other weapons charges and risk of injury to a minor. He was held on $250,000 bond.
