Because some people want a partner in life, my girl and I don’t want children. There’s a reason there’s a million kinds of birth control now, kids aren’t for everyone but that doesn’t mean you don’t want to go through life someone.

They do make you feel some type of ways when you don’t have them. It’s they way they drop hints every now again, slowly sowing the seed in your mind.

Just don’t expect any help from them if you have kids, if they give it to you great.

Part of it stems from them feeling left out not being grand parents like their friends.

I'd like to see a little me running around, but I literally only want one child. My mom is indifferent. My sister wants to be an aunt and asks me like once every 6 months. She already a grandmother so I don't know why she feels pressed.

I'm pushing 40 myself, and with the state of the world I'm questioning whether or not I want to.

I told my parents that I was unsure about having kids and my dad called me dumb. From that moment, I learned you gotta just do what makes you happy because your parents are not necessarily thinking about what motivates your actions.

If you love your Mrs enough to want to procreate, then do it but don't have kids to appease others.

Nah, not selfish but only because I used to want kids but realized over a long period of self examination that I’m not cut out (at least now and maybe not ever) to be a good parent. It would have been selfish for me to have a child, because I thought I was supposed to have one and continue moving like I didn’t even want it, which would have been the case. Not everything is black and white. I don’t feel guilty because like I said the only reason I would have had one is to fill some sort of familial or social obligation, if anything I just feel…different I guess.

Both mom and pop want a grandson, as me and my ole lady have already given them a granddaughter. I’m taking my daughter to spend the summer with my parents this week. Break for me!!

I’m going to try and give them that, not because it’s what they want, but because I really want a son.

Outside of going to prison, having a baby mama is my 2nd biggest fear. I’ve seen how the stress has destroyed so many men I know. Child support is economic attrition.

My parents are divorced, one lives in California and the other lives in Florida. I live in Maryland so they’ll prolly barely be involved in the child’s life unfortunately.

My parents are in their 70's and I'm some what in the same boat.. I'll be 42 next month, not married, child free and my moms stays side eyeing me lol.. Don't care though, its me and whoever im dealing with decision at the end of the day.
