Am I the only one who waits for a season to be over to watch a show?

I enjoy shows better when I watch them this way, but I don't have the will power or patience to wait until the season is over to watch the whole thing.

The good thing is, I've gotten into a lot of shows late so I end up catching up on 4 or 5 seasons at a time over a few weeks span.

True story.

Watching 3 seasons over a 4 week period is :ahh:

But then having to watch the 4th season in real time will have a nicca twitching. I've never been into drugs, but I'd imagine this is how withdrawal feels :wtf:

I gave up on Breaking Bad after the third season, but I think I may throw reality in the bushes and just be entertained watching season 4-5. Actually, I'll probably start from the beginning to refresh my memory.

I prefer to watch shows this way because I have more control and I just kinda feel like :shaq2: having to be somewhere at a specific time each week. Also, when I can't watch a show this way I'm much less likely to judge any particular season of a show until it is all the way done.

no, not willingly... but some of my most favorite shows were the ones that i discovered late in the game or wasnt put up on until after they were already a season or 2 in.

itd end up being a blessing tho, esp when I was in college, as I would simply dedicate entire weekends to just catchin up on all the piff via streaming/DL sites.

Was nothing better than being able to OD on Spartacus, the Wire, Idris Elba's Luther, Don Cheadle's House of Lies, etc etc.

Tho once i did catch up to a show, like Spartacus or Cheadle's joint, then I would just watch it weekly.

pretty much the only way I watch TV shows now a days. I didn't do it on purpose, I actually started in college due to my campus not having HBO or FX included in their cable package, so I would download The Shield and The Wire on torrents once the seasons are over. Only show I've broken this habit for recently was Breaking Bad and that's because the season was so short. The downside is the spoilers, I'm good with avoiding spoilers on twitter but the .gifs is where I get fukked up, I was ready to box nikkas after "that" scene in season 4 finale of Breaking Bad popped up everywhere in .gif form.

nikkas have the will power to wait months till the season is over, yet cant wait a week :wtf:

once you let a couple of weeks go by without getting into a season its easy as hell to forget its even on. especially now with it being football and soon to be basketball season, me being a sports head and having league pass I got something to watch every night. soon as nba and cbb start up I pretty much don't even watch any other "as it airs" tv programming excepts sports after coming home from work and the gym.

After I caught up on all four seasons of Breaking Bad by watching a new episode everyday on Netflix at the end of last year I've thought about doing this. But it didn't work this past season, plus I got alot friends and Co-workers who like to discuss shows and it would be real diffcult to avoid all the spoilers.

I usually DVR them though and watch two episodes at a time.

Only reason I'm against this is because when it's cancelled people end up wondering why good shows don't come on TV so often.

I only miss out on full seasons because I was sleeping on the show if someone told me about it initially. 24 and The Wire are perfect examples...they are great to marathon, but I definitely miss watching these shows live (The Wire on Sunday and Jack Bauer on the next night - :ahh: ).

Network execs either aren't ready to count online viewing or simply refuse to, because shows like Community and Fringe seem to have more fans online than they do that actually watch the show live - and not surprisingly, both shows are in their last seasons because of it.

ETA - @Danie84 I posted a link to your profile, just because I forget how the admins feel about certain links like that and I'm not trying to make The-Coli lose money or advertisements.

I dont even watch shows off live tv besides the news so I only watch shows I download and playback thru DLNA or Roku

I hardly ever watch tv in general so its much easier to wait about 3+ months for Dexter and such to be over
