Am I the only one who thinks Jaylen Brown is better than Jayson Tatum?

me and my younger brother keep having this debate, not because i'm saying jaylen is leagues better than jayson.. but because this lil nikka really thinks this is an absurd discussion to begin with because jayson WAY better. stop it slime. apparently i have either taught him nothing as a big brother about naismith's game or he is just hardheaded, i'm not sure. he actually used to argue with me that westbrook was better than chef curry, now he doesn't even bring that shyt up lmao....

but anyway, this is a more than viable discussion. again, i think jayson is the more talented player but when it is all said and done brown will be the better overall player. for instance, derrick coleman had more talent than robert horry but big shot rob (i hate bob, duncan is a troll) was the better overall player

brown is firmly in my top 10 favorite and fukk around he could enter my hallowed 5. it's that real b. love them both though, ainge is sitting on a treasure with these two

Jalen been steadily adding more and more to his bag every year. Whereas Tatum looks like he’s stagnated a lil. Now it’s to the point it’s undeniable that Jalen has the more versatile offensive game. Still tho...Tatum will always have that talent edge. Game will always come easier and he’ll always that creativity edge. So at the end of the day I’d still have to go Tatum:yeshrug:

Tatum has more potential due to height and size. This allows him to play the 3 and 4. So not only can he dominate 3 and 4s, but he can dominate 1s and 2s too. Heck even some 5s.

Brown can dominate 1s and 2s, but the height of the rest can handle him.

NBA is about height, no matter how us regular height people like to believe. Sure you have the rare, height challenged player like Iverson, they can dominate with open shots and speed. But when they meet a standard height player like when Iverson met Kobe, they get dominated.

It's not an outlandish take, I've def felt that way at times. In my opinion JB is a better driver (dances less with the ball, though he is more turnover prone still), better finisher, slightly better defender (especially with how he sonned Siakam in the East semis in the bubble), more efficient offensive player, and he's closing the gap on JT's shooting (3's, def not Free throws).

I've always felt JB would avg. more points than Tatum if he got the same amount of shots, and I think this might be the season where they get a similar amount of FGA per game. That's why his offensive production is getting noticed this year. :manny:

Their games fit each other so well too and i didn't know if that would be the case in the beginning. I figured both were strictly 3's but Jaylen can play the 3 but is for sure a 2 guard. And Tatum is a 3 who can easily play the 4. As long as they get along on the court does it really matter who is better?

Tatum's height gives him an advantage on the boards but hes still stiff as hell and has limited foot speed.

Jaylen is way more efficient too, better shooter, plus athlete.

They both scoring 26 a game but Jaylen needs 2-3 less shots to do it. Extra possessions add up and are crucial in playoffs

They're about neck and neck....1a/1b

Not sure if Jaylen would be as good as the undisputed #1 if he got the main defensive attention

jb defers to jt on the offensive side

jt is the more confident smoother scorer

but jb has progressed tremendously on offense

& he takes challenges on the defensive end

they are a very complementary duo
