What's worse is that rappers don't even try to display a level of skill when MC'ing anymore. No more fancy complicated flows and rhyme schemes. No more verses where the verse is more than just the sum of its parts. Rap as an art form in the mainstream is dying.

I used to be a rapper...now I don't even wanna associate with it anymore. Don't even get me started on the content...

The format to having a hot record today:

A Feature a Young Money/Maybach/Good Music rapper on your main single or on half of your album CHECK

B. Have a club song basically saying nothing but talking about swag, cars, hoes, CHECK

C.A beat that sounds like 70% of the stuff thats already out CHECK

D.A Annoying DJ Khalid feature in the video full of strippers or club setting. DOUBLE CHECK

E.A future remix featuring Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, Fabolous, Future, Young Jeezy, or Chris Brown trying to rap. CHECK

Follow these formats in 2012 and you'll have a hit
