I only watched this movie once as a kid in theatres. 27 years later, it's still the worst movie I've ever seen.

They should be glad. I doubt any serious actor wants this movie in their discography :russ:
Watching that the movie was a mess. They didn't really know what they wanted so they kept doing script rewrite after rewrite even as it was filming. Nintendo didn't really care they felt nothing with Mario could fail so they just let stuff get out of hand. The actors were miserable as everything kept changing. In some level of fairness it was uncharted territory as that was the first major video game movie but it was also doomed to be the train wreck it was from the start. At times they wanted family friendly, other times dark and gritty, other times heavy action like on some Bruce Willis Die Hard level (and wanted a cameo from him).

That documentary is an amazing watch.
