that's the whole point in there culture tho. to not let "lust" cloud the selection/marriage process. hence all the arranged marriages. they have much lower divorce rates even the ones that live here in the west so they must be doing something right

I was speaking from purely a biological stand point.

I'd like to do a study on marital happiness...also remember Divorce was ILLEGAL unless a woman could prove to a court of ALL MEN that abuse or fiscal irresponsibility was evident. Very difficult to do when in many Islamist countries women weren't even allowed higher education until the past 15-20 years.

So the divorce rate argument is skewed at best. As well as the fact that sexual freedom in general is frowned upon in these places.

I get it when a woman is married or courting, what I DON'T get is the fact that it clouds the process biologically. A girl can be cute in the face all she want but if the body is then its not something MY body wants to mate with...

Also part of the reason why multiple wives might have been NECESSARY in the culture.
