We never had guests when I was younger so I picked up the habit. I need to invite more people over more often tho because it's the only way I'll be forced to keep my house super clean.

I don't mind too much, but some people are horrible house guest. This one nikka I know hit me up out the blue yesterday. nikka hit me with the "You at the crib?" I was like "Yeah" Then he was like , I'm around the way, I'm go stop by and burn one with you. I was like fukk it, come through

This nikka get over here and ask me if I got a blunt. I showed that nikka the Backwoods. He was like
I said nikka you've known me for 7 years, and you know all I smoke is backwoods. This nikka said I'm bout to run and get a Swisher and asked me if I wanted to go half

So now I'm watching my nikka Kobe's Return against the Raptorsand this nikka talking bout, put it on the Saints Carolina game I told him no, Kobe's return is priority. But I'm a cool nikka, so now I'm flipping to the Saints game during the Lakers commercial for this fool.

Then he asked if I had some bottled water and I only had one left, but I gave it to this nikka. Now I gotta pick up some bottled water when I'm at Publix today. And to top it off this nikka fell asleep at my house...during the Kobe game

Oh yeah and he spilld a half a can of Natural Ice on my floor

Im like that as well, I'm just not comfortable when people other than my significant other is over my house..idk why. Maybe its because I have to entertain them.

I think this plays a part in some people's reluctance ...and my reluctance at times, too. If you're a longtime type, then it's nothing. I don't feel the need to entertain, and everything is straight regardless.

If you're new, then it can seem burdensome. I just play it regular, and if you like it over here, then you like it... if you don't you don't.

I'm still dying at this thread. It's hard for me to have people over because I'm so paranoid and a people pleaser.

If I have people over I'll stock the fridge, clean up, etc. Then I'll leave the house and come back inside like 15 minutes later to see if I can identify any bad smells. Sounds crazy but we all have a scent, i just try to make my house smell as good as possible.

The reason I hated having some of my homeboys over is because some of them didn't know how to act. I have a homie who always wants to smoke n shyt. When I was renting in college I was like, "Chill. I don't want the smoke to get in the couch." He was like, "nikka stop worrying." Maybe he was right, but point being is that nikka should've just respected my house rules.

I will say that I hate people who make you take your shoes off on some bougie shyt. I'm like nikka I been to rich people's houses and they let me keep my shoes on. Aint nobody bout to damage your cheap carpet. But I still respect their rules. I also hate visiting people with pets. Tell your dog to chill out while I'm playin this game breh. I also hate people that always want you to come over but never have anything to drink, or don't want to turn the AC on and shyt.

Only thing is, calling beforehand and then all of us having a plan of what to do. Random visits when you not prepared are terrible.

I think the etiquette is that You're supposed to bring something when visiting someone's crib, as a token of respect and appreciation for the expected hospitality you'd receive. Especially when that someone is unfamiliar or not really your people like that.

I try to be mindful of that rule of etiquette.
