We support sports stars, actors, even criminals just cause they are black. But somehow supporting a black president is wrong:mindblown:

If you are not very informed politicaly so what.(you should get active but that's another thread) Remember that one person you latched on to as a kid that gave you the inspiration/motivation that you too could be great. For millions of black and brown kids Obama is that person. If you vote only to keep his face in office for those kids then it was well worth your five minutes.

You know, it's funny cause it's true -_-

nikkas pat themselves on the back for being too "aware" and "knowledgeable" to fall for voting but have so much to say about Kells pissing on kids and C. Brown mauling bytches. :heh:

So if hes a total fukking idiot then i should still vote for him cuz he black?

He's not a total idiot, so your statement means nothing at all.

And besides that. Your here posting on a hiphop and sports website. How many semi-retarded nikkas do you support on the daily. It's worth your time to defend your favorite rapper, who is almost guaranteed to be an idiot, but you can't support a black Harvard grad, that has worked his way up to the top. And has devoted his life to helping others do the same

:scusthov: at you willfully ignorant nikkas

electoral college, senators and representatives elect presidents, citizens elect senators and representatives, like i said on FB this morning, if you want someone in the white house that represents you and what you stand for you have to first make sure your senators and representatives represent you and what you stand for

I voted but mainly because of the local races, i lost faith in this country a long time ago. Plus im in SC, my vote wont mean much, these cacs vote republican no matter who the hell is on the ticket. I mean i get it, we should vote, but i can totally understand why someone would not want to vote for the president if u live in certain states

I have done volunteer work for the Obama campagn. My daughter and I have gone to rallies and fundraisers. My wife painted pictures for those fundraisers. I have written to my local and federal government officials expressing my concerns. I've donated money to local campaigns. And i generally try to stay very informed on candidates and issues.

With all that said, a person doesn't have to do all that in order to participate. Everybody doesn't have time/money to donate to political causes. But it's easy to do a little research and find our which candidate would be a best fit for you. Vote on the issues you know about.

LOL

dog this is my point exactly......

ur whole idea of bettering soceity revoles around the idea that it's someone else's responsibility to do it for u and that by simply taking part in the process of getting that person hired is all you, and everyone else, needs to do to fix things........

nah dog.......that aint goin to cut it

I find that most black people who are passonate about voting to be closed minded maniacs. They hear "i dont vote" and damn near go crazy with emotion. There's no reasoning with these people.... they operate with the mindstate of "anyone who doesnt vote is an ignorant nikka who doesnt know any better" and not only are they owed an explanation on why you dont vote but it's also their job to enlighten you on why you should.

After all, our annecstors died for this privelage.....

I think the 43% of people who didnt vote in 2008 speaks louder then the 57% who did.

George Carlin said it best breh....

"I have solved this political dilemma in a very direct way: I don't vote. On Election Day, I stay home. I firmly believe that if you vote, you have no right to complain. Now, some people like to twist that around. They say, 'If you don't vote, you have no right to complain,' but where's the logic in that? If you vote, and you elect dishonest, incompetent politicians, and they get into office and screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You voted them in. You caused the problem. You have no right to complain. I, on the other hand, who did not vote -- who did not even leave the house on Election Day -- am in no way responsible for that these politicians have done and have every right to complain about the mess that you created."

Ive seen that Carlin quote tons of times, still a crock of shyt. Wow, im so great i can run my mouth to complain about problems but im too damn sorry to actually try and change anything.

I used to really care about politics, especially during GW's first term. I wanted him out so bad, but then when I saw how they gave us John Kerry as the alternative, at that point it all became very transparent.

They don't give you any real differing choice, anyone who really wants to change the game can never be President. It's Pepsi vs. Coke, just different packaging and advertising.

Did not vote. so when these snakes go on with murdering innocent civilians in foreign countries and beefing up the police state my name isn't next to their role call of supporters.

:comeon: when did I say this. I just explained how I'm politicaly active. I never said Obama can/will fix my problems. I'm college educated and I support myself and my family. Regardless of who gets into office I will be doing just fine. But i also understand that social/economic programs to bolster upward mobility in American people are very important. None of us would see success without the resources left to us by those who came before us.

You have proven yourself to be a stupid nikka, and 99% of the people running around with all these excuses as to why they shouldn't vote are stupid nikkas too

After all, our annecstors died for this privelage.....

:mindblown:how does this stament even make sense? Nobody gives a fukk about people who don't vote. Politicians pander to LIKELY voters. They only need a majority to win. Doesn't matter if 10 people or 10,000 people vote. If they already know your not gonna vote, they have no reason to respect you or your views.
