2 Chainz biggest hit until he blew up was Supafreak and and before that first time most people heard about him as 2 Chainz in the streets was Count It up.
Same for Alleyboy, first time people started hearing about him was on "four" a Jeezy song. If you are nice with and work with Jeezy, it will up your cred in the streets.
Before that Ne-yo joint I didn't hear Jeezy on the radio and shyt, but I saw the type of people that flocked his show. Summer Jam was dead until Jeezy came through.

for a long time. I compare him to T.I. at this point. T.I. is getting better skills wise, but his popularity is dwindling. Jeezy is stagnant skills wise, but his popularity is pretty much the same. Runs in the south seem to just fade outta nowhere
