everybody follows celebs knowingly and unknowingly, your critique sucks.

GO wear some headphones, earmuffs, put your tv on mute, don't read online news, internet etc.

I agree with the first point, especially with the internet.

I was just looking to have an intelligent civil conversation, but maybe this is the wrong place for this. Especially if people like you are going to get all confrontational and emotional for no reason whatsoever other than that someone stated their opinion.

Dawg, I still haven't gotten over MJs death...he was an icon to me and many others that grew up in the 80s and 90s! I see that point.

But I don't follow every celebrities moves on twitter, instagram, or facebook. Nor am I checking out TV on a nightly basis (cause I don't watch TV and we don't have cable in my household), nor am I checking out every single movie that comes out anymore. Things change

Some celebrities(mostly musicians and actors) 'matter' to me because they've earned my respect and admiration through their craft. To answer your question, no I don't really follow their every move like that.

But I was sad when Gandolfini or Dennis Hopper died.
