Am I crazy for thinking Griselda better than The Lox?

That's the falsest statement ever
I have NEVER heard any Griselda content in any club, lounge, or radio station. And I’m talking about all black venues in black cities.

They’re “Odd Future” for nostalgic street back packers.

and barely cause even the alt rap crowd gets love at festivals and parties. I’ve NEVER heard a Griselda song outside of my headphones.

Its actually not a bad comparison. Both NY trios who make street music I get it. Griselda is definitely handicapped in this fight because of the era they popped in.

The LOX was MAJOR. We really LIVED with that music. We were buying the LPs and Mixtapes and stayed spinning them. Their music was on TV/radio/in clubs. The LOX was a part of legendary tours. They were Bad Boy & RR....

LOX has a lot of classic moments; where in today's climate that's hard to duplicate for various reasons. I mess with Griselda heavy; but I'd be lying if I didn't have bias due to nostalgia. I don't think I could be objective.

If Griselda popped around the same time who knows...but being from Buffalo back than would it have even be possible? I'm assuming a lot of their success is because of the times / technology. Gift and a curse I suppose :manny:

The thing is, Griselda been rapping since the early 2000s. I love Griselda, definitely not trying to hate but we have to be honest here. There’s a reason the Lox started rapping in 1992 and got signed in 1995. And there’s a reason Griselda started rapping in 2001 and didn’t start poppin until 2016. If they just started rapping 5 years ago, you’d have more of an argument about them not being able to duplicate the nostalgia. They were making music in an era the Lox were (2001-2007) where you could make classic moments that last the rest of time and they didn’t. They weren’t good enough to do it.

The best project out of Griselda to me is Benny's Tana Talk 3, I love that album but... is better than Gangster and a Gentleman? Is it better than Jadakiss debut with Show Discipline, Feel Me, We Gonna Make It, None Y'all Better, Uh-Hunh?

The Griselda album they did was kinda weak. Lox debut and second album are both way better.

Not a WSG fan, so I'll disregard him.

I think Conway is super fire, but has he put out better albums than Styles over the last decade?
It might be closer than we think it regards to Styles 2012 to 2022.

I'm really having a hard time seeing how Styles is so much better or even better than Benny Tana Talk 3
