The problem with the Smith machine, and machines in General is that they create muscle imbalance, because the machine stabilizes the plan of motion for you, instead of your body learning how to adapt.

Not to mention with squats if you're not doing the full range of motion( all the way down), you're setting yourself up for injury

Hell, throw a 45 plate under chin horizontal and high rep deep depth that till :dead:

Im doing the 5x5 at my new gym and these MFs dont have a spot to do the over head press :why: I've been doing the seated ones on the smith machine instead, it just doesnt feel the same...Im not sure if Im even working the same muscle groups that Im suppose to :snoop: Help brehs I cant do another week of this....
