Rule #1 to pointing the Alt right infultrators is this.

1. They will say basic shyt like "Trump sucks" or "fukk Trump" or "This isn't about Trump"

2. They will follow that by going 10 pages and 30 paragraphs of why Biden sucks.

You can't be too obvious, hence point #1.

Want to expand site traffic and combat trolls? Here is a potential good compromise.

• Give good, established mods, such as yourself and @Lord Scarf ban powers. That's at least three credible people with permaban powers. That way @Houston911 isn't doing all the work himself.

• Expand the amount of mods. Previous POTY winners are potentially good candidates. These mods wouldn't be able to ban posters but they could at the least bush posters. I think @Gold and @Booksnrain are excellent candidates for this category. They are responsible, unbiased, and consistent posters. Regardless, I think at least one female poster of this category is a good idea, lest we become a woman hating echo chamber.

• Experiment with this new form of moderation for a month or more. Even if we isolate it to TLR. Determining whether or not to expand it to other forums is TBD.

• If successful, open registration again. This time we have expanded, well equipped moderation able to deal with the influx of inevitable trolls, cacs, and others.

As an addendum, the idea of a verified tag and ability to lock threads to only verified users (regardless of ethnicity/race) could go a long way. I'm done with this digital blackface, it ruins discourse.


Right now mods don't have the tools and manpower needed to handle a potential influx of trolls. This is the only way to get traffic up and not have the website commit seppuku in doing so.
Who do we need to talk to even get this conversation going or idea rolling? Do we need a poll? A petition?

How about this? Details you don't like could be changed. For example, the verified thing could be dicey and would need to be navigated carefully. I think the rest is reasonable.

I don't want to tell you how to run your site.
I just ask that you seriously consider it. The Coli is an important website. This is the sole refuge on the internet for black men. It's the only space we have, it needs to be curated well.

@Brooklynzson We need a solution breh, and these are all great ideas. Please consider. At some point it starts to feel like coming here and participating is just elevating disinformation. At the very least we need more and better moderation. This is the most important election we've had in years and one of the most important eras for black people since arguably the 60s. We need a space for honest, constructive discourse for black people and allies and it feels like what was once a space for this is being surrendered to alt-right infiltrators. I'm wondering why.

I can have a conversation with black Trump supporters but these trolls in digital black face need to be addressed or at least have their posts regulated.
