Maybe they like him despite those things.

The 80s era was different so I look at these guys different. There was a voodoo level combination of economic, societal and governmental factors that let these young boys make an explosive level of money.

The more talented kids like Alpo got to mid tier level and ended up in too deep, having to murder and other demonic shyt to stay at the front of the pack.

Guys like him remind me of Franklin in that show Snowfall.

If you merely survived the crack era, you have the same level of trauma as a Vietnam war veteran. If you participated in the drug game heavy, you might as well join the Taliban

probably not. Alpo, Rich and all of them cats back then were apart of the most destructive era in that area and there’s nothing to show for it. No one used those drug profits and copped those brownstones that were boarded up.

As much as the lifestyle was glorified in the 80s/90s, look at where things are now in Harlem. CACs pulled up, bought shyt up, jacked prices up and now it’s on some game over shyt. All of this repping for the block shyt means nothing when you come back to your old neighborhood and the energy is permanently different. Just ask the people who live along that Labor Day parade route on Eastern Parkway when the clock strikes 4:59pm and the cops are telling people to clear the area. The ones who brought up that area have no issue throwing their muscle around and having people leave.

Damn

Just.....damn

In his book Alpo even said he kicks himself for not buying up property when he had the money. He admitted him and everybody should have been buying up brownstone houses and apartments instead of bullshyt like different jewelry, cars and outfits for each day.

As for people embracing Alpo, it is what it is. All I know is Wayne Perry with his crazy self must be even more pissed lol.

And now the black citizens of Harlem gonna suffer the most because of it :snoop:

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
To be fare, that shut happened 30 years ago.

he was facing the death penalty of life without parole. He was sentenced to 35 years in prison. If he was gonna get got, he would’ve gotten clipped in prison but he didn’t :manny:

Everyone from that era is either dead or pushing 60. Either way, none of them are probably on that street shyt anymore.

Talking about him is only making his name ring out, which is the very thing you all are complaining about in the first place.
